Will the change in location affect my Congress registration?
All Congress registrations remain valid.
The Early Bird Registration deadline has also been extended to 13 April 2016. If you completed your registration before 25 February 2016 and no longer wish to attend the Congress, please contact us at wc2016@ipsa.org and we will refund 100% of your registration fee (membership fees are non-refundable). The regular refund policy will apply to all completed registrations after 25 February 2016.
Will the presented papers be published?
The Abstracts and the Full papers presented at the Congress will be available (in PDF format) to IPSA members in the Conference Proceedings Library on the website www.ipsa.org.
IPSA does not publish a printed Book of Proceedings or a Book of Abstracts for the Congress. Including your paper in the Conference Proceedings Library does not grant IPSA any copyrights.
What is the panel composition? How long is each panel?
Each panel should include a chair and at least one discussant.
Each panel should include a minimum of 4 paper presentations and a maximum of 6.
A panel lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes. Depending on the number of panelists, each paper presentation should be 10 to 20 minutes long.
Do I have to be an IPSA member to participate in the Congress?
Yes, all Congress participants must be individual IPSA members in 2025 to register for the World Congress. You may become a member during the online registration process using your IPSA account. IPSA membership is not necessary to submit a panel or paper proposal; only for participation and attendance at the World Congress.
Do I have to be an IPSA member to submit a proposal?
You do not need to be a member of IPSA to submit a proposal, however you must be signed up for a free IPSA website account to be able to submit a panel or paper proposal. In order to participate and register for the World Congress you must become an IPSA member. Registration fees are available at www.istanbul2016.ipsa.org/events/congress/istanbul2016/registration.
How can I create an IPSA online account?
You will have the option to create an IPSA website account when submitting a paper or panel, or completing the registration. Individuals may also be invited to create an online account by a panel convenor in order to be included as a panel chair or discussant, or a paper co-author.

Is there a deadline to register for the Congress?
Participants who have a role in the program (paper author, chair, discussant) must complete the online registration and pay the fees by 8 May 2025. Failure to do so will result in a withdrawal from the program.
When do I have to register to be included in the program?
Participants who have a role in the program (paper author, chair, discussant) must complete the online registration and pay the fees by April 18, 2023 if they wish to appear in the Printed Program.
