Collective Membership
What is Collective Membership?
Collective membership of IPSA is open to national and regional associations recognized by the IPSA Executive Committee as being representative of political science in their respective countries or regions. Associations must be open to all, regardless of academic, gender or social status, on a membership basis, and represent most regions and universities of their respective countries or groups of countries within a region.
Each collective member is represented on IPSA’s central governing organ, the IPSA Council, by one, two or three members. The IPSA Council lays down broad policy guidelines for the Association and elects the IPSA Executive Committee, which is charged with responsibility for the conduct of the affairs of IPSA between congresses.
Collective members of IPSA pay an annual contribution fee based on a table of payments approved by the IPSA Council.
