Full-Time Professor in Political Science

The Program of Political Science of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities of Universidad San Francisco de Quito invites all interested candidates that fulfill the requisites described in this call, to present their applications for a full-time professorship beginning in August 2022.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates are expected to engage in teaching activities at the undergraduate level, create and pursue research projects, actively participate in international networks, generate indexed publications, besides participating in community outreach projects and administrative duties of the University.

ACADEMIC REQUISITES
Applications from candidates with a Ph.D. in Political Science or related field in the social sciences will be received. Proficiency in Spanish and English is required.

• Current CV (in Spanish or English);
• Letter of presentation and interest (maximum 2 pages);
• List of 3 references (name, institution and e-mail address);
• One student evaluation document from a previous course;
• A tentative syllabus for one of the following courses (in Spanish or English) (undergraduate level):
  • Introduction to Political Science;
  • Introduction to Comparative Politics;;
  • Quantitative Research;
  • Qualitative Research;
  • Modern Political Theory;
  • Contemporary Political Theory;
  • Political Sociology;
  • Ecuadorian Politics.
