Fourth Edition of the IPSA-ABU Summer School A Success

IPSA and Antalya Bilim University (ABU) successfully presented the 4th edition of the IPSA-ABU Summer School for Social Science Research Methods from 11-22 September 2023. The event was held in an online format and had a high international profile, with 21 participants joining from nine countries worldwide. 

Participants were especially interested in content analysis. The local organizing team provided two distinct courses on the subject. One focused on quantitative and computer-assisted content analysis, and the other on qualitative content analysis, taking the preferences of the participants into account.  

The opening ceremony provided information to the attendees on IPSA, the local organizers, and the program. The attendees were asked about their expectations. The closing ceremony focused more on the 2023 edition and feedback from the attendees.

This year, IPSA provided financial support to Syrian and Turkish students from earthquake-stricken regions of Turkey and Syria. Seven young academics were awarded scholarships.
