International Conference of Young Scholars at Ball State University

IPSA’s Research Committee on Asian and Pacific Studies (RC18) and the International Studies Association (ISA) at Ball State University held the International Conference of Young Scholars for World Peace on November 21, 2016. The conference was aimed at discussing critical events in international relations with a diverse group of emerging scholars, students, faculty and the public, with a view to further fostering mutual understanding.
Presenters included keynote speaker Ziyodakhon Gazieva of Uzbekistan; Chulhyeon Gu of South Korea; Ramkrishna Apsingekar of India; Founding Chairman Dr. Teh-Kuang Chang, who spoke about the development of the IPSA Asian and Pacific Foundation; new RC18 Chair, Dr. Angelin Chang; and President of the International Studies Association at BSU, Bryan Beaty.
The International Studies Association hosts an Annual Lecture Series for diplomats, statesmen and other important figures. Previous speakers in the ISA Series include Indiana Governor Robert Orr, Congressman Dan Burton, Chinese Ambassador Chow Shu-Kai, Mongolian Ambassador Luvsandorjiin Dawagiv, Fudan University President Xie Xide, UN National General Assembly Vice-President Enkhtsetseg Ochir, and IPSA Secretary-General Guy Lachapelle.
