IPSA at the 2023 LASA Congress

IPSA will be present at the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) 2023 Congress, to be held in-person in Vancouver, Canada, and virtually from 24-27 May 2023.
IPSA Panel
IPSA will be represented by Executive Committee member Azul A. Aguiar Aguilar, who will chair the panel on Democracy, Judicial Institutions and Organized Crime in Latin America on 26 May from 12:00 to 13:30 PDT. Panelists will discuss how judicial institutions have responded to the presence and expansion of organized crime in Latin America, what models and strategies have been implemented, and why some countries have failed in the fight against organized crime while others have succeeded.
IPSA’s Virtual Booth and Q&A Sessions
IPSA will also have a virtual exhibition booth at the event. LASA delegates will learn about IPSA activities, recent publications, and the 2023 IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Buenos Aires. Haluk Dag, Communication and Promotion Coordinator, will meet with delegates through the following virtual Q&A sessions:
• 24 May 2023, 11:00 to 12:00 PDT (14:00:15:00 EDT)
• 26 May 2023, 10:00 to 11:00 PDT (13:00:14:00 EDT)
