Description

Taiwanese political attitudes and behaviors will be discussed in this panel. In particular, the following attitudes and behaviors will be examined using survey or empirical data: women's political participation, political tolerance, risk perception and voting choice, and the concept of good citizenship. The four essays address the following questions: Has women's participation in elections increased? What is the difference between college types in terms of political tolerance? In presidential elections, how does voters' perception of risk influence their voting choices? Do people in Taiwan have a different understanding of what constitutes "good citizenship"?
