The 30th International Population Conference
Sun, 13 Jul 2025 - Fri, 18 Jul 2025
Brisbane, Australia
The IUSSP International Population Conference is the world’s largest international scientific conference on population and demography. The conference brings together researchers, policymakers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines and from across the globe, to present and discuss the latest research on a broad range of contemporary population issues.
If you are working in population and related fields, you are warmly invited to submit an abstract of recent research for presentation in an oral or poster session.
All abstracts must be submitted online via this site. Individuals can submit no more than 1 abstract. The deadline for submissions is 15 September 2024. To submit you will be asked to log in with the email and password you use for the IUSSP website or create a new user account. (You do not need to be a member to submit a paper.) If you are an IUSSP member, please first log-in at iussp.org to update your information (especially your email, institution/employer and country of residence).
Submissions must include a short, 200-word abstract and an extended (2-4-page) summary in English describing the topic including theoretical focus, data, research methods, and expected findings. Authors should select the theme that is closest to the topic of the paper and select up to 4 additional keywords to ensure that the abstract is assigned to the appropriate reviewers. Once you have begun a submission you can always return later to complete it up until the deadline of 15 September.
All submissions will be reviewed by 2 anonymous experts on the topic area. Theme conveners and session organisers will select abstracts for inclusion in the programme based on reviews and the paper’s relevance/ appropriateness for sessions created in the theme.
The organisers are not able to provide interpretation for sessions at IPC2025. Authors should plan to present in English or provide PowerPoint slides in English if presenting in a language other than English.
