The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne is currently seeking a Senior Researcher in the Economic Sociology Project Area. The position is available from 1 July 2022, or by agreement, at the latest by 1 October 2022.
Successful candidates are required to have an excellent PhD in sociology, political science, or economics, an in-depth knowledge of economic sociology, and first publications. Excellent English is essential.
The post is for an initial three-year period in accordance with the WissZeitVG (the German law on temporary employment of academic staff) with an option, following evaluation, for a further three years. Pay is according to the German public sector pay agreement (TVöD EG 13, after interim evaluation TVöD EG 14).
The successful applicant may have the opportunity to undertake a Habilitation and teach within the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (https://imprs.mpifg.de).
