Your future position is based at the Department of Government, which is a center for leading research on the comparative politics of Europe, Austria, and beyond. The position will be filled from March 1, 2025 and is limited to 6 years.
Staff and Students appreciate internationality, outstanding research projects, interdisciplinary cooperation, and exchange between colleagues.
Your future tasks:
- You develop and strengthen an independent research profile, including internationally visible publications;
- You present your work internationally;
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement (typically 180 minutes of teaching per week);
- You publish internationally in leading international journals (SSCI);
- You supervise students (BA and MA);
- You participate in the administration of the department.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in Political Science;
- Own research agenda on political representation, party competition, political institutions, political behavior, or related fields;
- Excellent knowledge of quantitative social science methods in data collection and analysis;
- Internationally visible publication record or advanced manuscripts (revise & resubmit);
- Excellent command of written and spoken English;
- Ability to work in a team.
