Challenges and New Directions in Multi-Level Governance: IPSA 75th Anniversary Conference
Publication date: Fri, 20 Oct 2023
In 2024, IPSA will celebrate its 75th Anniversary and will hold two anniversary conferences, first in Montreal, where the IPSA Secretariat is located, from 25-26 April 2024, and second in Lisbon, from 11-13 September 2024.
IPSA will organize the first anniversary conference in partnership with Concordia University and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) Canada, and in collaboration with the Canadian Political Science Association (CPSA) and the Société québécoise de science politique (SQSP) on the theme Challenges and New Directions in Multi-Level Governance. This two-day international conference will be held at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada from 25-26 April 2024. The event is expected to draw more than 150 scholars, international organizations, government representatives, associations and NGOs.
The Call for Papers Now Open
The call for papers for the conference is now open. We welcome submissions that seek to understand and explain current challenges to multi-level decision-making and government structures worldwide. While the emphasis is on current challenges and new directions in multi-level governance, we will also accept papers on the study of federalism, decentralization, regional and international organizations, political structures, national and transnational social movements, and political actors.
Reduced Fee for IPSA, CPSA and SQSP Members
Registration will open on 25 January 2024. IPSA, CPSA and SQSP members will benefit from a reduced registration fee, and student members of all three associations can attend FREE OF CHARGE.
