IPSA at the LASA2024 Congress

IPSA will attend the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) 2024 Congress, to be held in person in Bogota, Colombia, and virtually from 12-15 June 2024.
IPSA Panel
IPSA will be represented by IPSA Executive Committee members and 2025 IPSA World Congress Program Co-Chairs Irasema Coronado and Azul A. Aguiar Aguilar, who will organize and chair the panel on Borders Unveiled: Navigating Complexities in the U.S.–Mexico Region through Migration, Feminism, and Artivismon 12 June from 17:40 to 19:10, Colombia Time (COT).
This panel will explore the complex implications of emerging international migration flows and the continuing homicides of women in Ciudad Juárez, bringing a critical perspective to bear on the border wall through a feminist lens. The panel will also examine the potential of artivism and feminism to challenge the border industrial complex.
