Vanessa Elias de Oliveira and Francesca Longo Appointed as Program Co-Chairs for the 2027 IPSA World Congress in Rome

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Vanessa Elias de Oliveira (Brazil) and Francesca Longo (Italy), both members of the IPSA Executive Committee, as Program Co-Chairs for the 29th IPSA World Congress of Political Science, to be held in Rome in July 2027.

The WC2027 Program Co-Chairs were nominated as candidates by IPSA President Pablo Oñate and appointed after receiving unanimous approval at the IPSA Executive Committee meeting on 15 February 2025. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the new Program Co-Chairs.

As Program Co-Chairs, Prof. Elias de Oliveira and Prof. Longo will play a key role in shaping the Congress program. In collaboration with the Program Committee and the Local Organizing Committee, they will determine the theme for the 2027 World Congress and, develop the Congress program.
