Fortunato Musella is Full Professor of Political Science at the University of Naples Federico II. He is the Director of Federica WebLearning, the University Center for Innovation, Experimentation and Dissemination of Multimedia Education. He has been a member of the CUN - National University Council, sitting on the Presidential Council, and he has coordinated the project Prin Monocratic Government. The Impact of Personalization on Contemporary Political Regimes. He is currently on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Digital Politics (Il Mulino).
He also participates in the organization of the IPSA-Federica Summer School on Digital Thinking: Concept Analysis in the Web Environment. His main research interests are government, concept analysis, and digital politics. His recent publications include Political Leaders Beyond Party Politics (London: Palgrave, 2018) and Monocratic Government (Berlin: De Gruyter, 2022). Together with Mauro Calise, he is also the author of the book Il Principe digitale - The Digital Prince (Rome-Bari: Laterza, 2019, second edition 2020), which deals with digital changes and the political potential of the web. He has written more than one hundred and twenty contributions that have appeared in volumes and journals of national and international relevance.
