Active learning in political science classrooms and programs is gaining ground as an effective way to teach students about political ideas, concepts, theories, policies, and processes. Some of these pedagogical tools and programs engage students in working with real, adapted, or mythical political structures to enhance students' understanding and increase their sense of efficacy as current and future participants in their political systems and structures. By providing these unique learning opportunities, educators can assess and bring qualitative and quantitative evidence to students and their universities about the value of political science in higher education.
