Numerous challenges exist to democracy in South Asia, as evident in the recent political crises in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Myanmar, and other nations. This panel aims to explore the various obstacles hindering the democratic framework, recognizing that democracy is the most beneficial system for citizen development. Given the multiple challenges facing democracy, it is crucial to address them. This panel will also focus on identifying possible solutions to overcome these challenges and strengthen democratic institutions in the region.
