This panel explores rethinking climate-related mobility by also looking at climate immobility and the need to also protect communities either forced or choosing to stay in place to adapt to climate change. This panel calls for a more nuanced understanding of the complexities of migration decisions that encompass voluntary immobility as a legitimate coping mechanism.
