Description

Peace, following the mainstream approaching to political science and international relations, use to be analyzed in a behavioral way. However, peace, as any human action is based in space, and its spatialities must be analyzed, either in territorial or networking-places terms, if one wants to make a comprehensive analysis. Papers on any spatial dimension of peace are welcome, particularly those focused in: (1) the territorial dimensions of the processes of peace (such as the Colombian past process with the FARC or the present one with ELN); (2) territorial arrangements to promote regional peace (such as Cohen’s “gateway regions” or the formal Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zones or Zones of Peace); 3) global geographical ethic of peace (such as issues about justice and the sources of violence).
