This Roundtable will examine the electoral institutions, processes and various other aspects of the 2024 US presidential election, including but not limited to how and why contemporary and historica perspectives manifested through ideas, interests, and institutions shaped the election campaigns and ultimate outcomes. the Roundtable will also assess the impacts of group factors -- such as race, class, and gender -- policy issues and policy framing influenced the results. Additionally, attention will be given to the initiatives and various actions of the new administration and the responses (and non-responses) of major institutions (other 'branches' of government) and actors (political parties, interest groups, civic organizations, the mass public, social media, etc.) in the political system to the administration's new undertakings;.
