Global Justice, Global Governance and Social Epistemology

Global governance is a practical mechanism for realizing the concept of global justice, which is extremely urgent in the current highly fragmented and complex world pattern. Social epistemology is an important theoretical and methodological principle for establishing a consensus on global justice and promoting modernization of global governance. As the highest academic institution in global politics, the International Political Science Association carries a special mission in promoting global justice, advancing modernization of global governance, and developing social epistemology. The establishment of a panel on global justice, global governance, and social epistemology at this year's World Political Science Congress has extremely important theoretical and practical significance.
From an ideological perspective, we must clarify the goals of global justice through a clear view of global justice.
From a practical perspective, we must promote, safeguard, and realize the concept of global justice through global governance.
From a theoretical and methodological perspective, social epistemology can provide necessary ideological, theoretical, and methodological principles for global justice and governance. Social epistemology is a theory that studies people's understanding of society and the realization of self-awareness in human society. In August 2024, the "International Alliance for Social Epistemology Research" was officially established at the 25th World Congress of Philosophy, which can provide necessary ideological theories and methodological principles for global justice and global governance.
To this end, the International Alliance for Social Epistemology Research, the Institute of State Governance of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and the Social Epistemology Research Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology have jointly proposed to establish a branch on "Global Justice, Global Governance and Social Epistemology" at the World Political Science Conference.
