This panel welcomes observational and experimental work on how politicians learn about, perceive, evaluate public opinion and the conditions under which the latter can be influential in changing their attitudes and actions. We also invite research on the differential impact organised groups may have on politicians’ preferences and behaviour. Contributions from all global regions are welcome.
