Description

This panel aims to explore new forms of border fortification and advanced security systems specifically designed to address irregular migration. As countries worldwide grapple with the complexities of cross-border movement, this panel seeks to provide in-depth analysis of multifaceted strategies, such as walls and fences, that are emerging in response to these challenges. By critically examining case studies from diverse regions, the panel will illuminate the varied approaches taken by different countries and regimes as well as world regions. We invite papers that offer insights from multiple social science perspectives, including political science, sociology, anthropology, law, and international relations.
